El-Sisi Seen as Shoo-In as Egyptians Vote for President
Mon May 26, 2014
In reply to: Backcountry164 #6.7 Who would you rather make the choices for you? The corporations that are driven by profits or the government who is driven by votes (ie the people). I know not all politicians are on the up and up, but I trust them more than I trust the Walton's (Walmart). These …
Yearbook photos of teen moms spark backlash, support
Tue May 20, 2014
In reply to: MiMi81 #24.1 There is a difference between illegal activities and getting pregnant out of wedlock! Even though I fully support kids who get their life on track the kids who overcome addiction and/or criminal lifestyles they can now go back to being kids again. Once you be …
Man jailed 13 years after sentence asks family to 'keep praying; keep hope'
Thu May 1, 2014
In reply to: NotAtAll #82.1 From what I read in an earlier article, even the person he did this to thinks he should be let off. I would think differently if he had killed or hurt someone, but it is never a one size fits all.
Man who never served prison sentence on clerical error awaits fate
Tue Apr 15, 2014
In reply to: Jean-982597 #4.1 If he became a decent, law abiding person because he was scared of going to jail, then I think this might be a new way of rehabilitation. MY question is, “What would have happened to him if he went to prison?” Would he have come out the person he is to …
'Princeton Mom' backlash: Faculty fires back at her controversial comments
Wed Mar 26, 2014
In reply to: Jessica-1170252 #2.1I think that the driver is also responsible even if someone doesn't look both ways because they should be watching for pedestrians anyway. I also think if we can put the responsibility on the driver not to drive drunk, we can also assume they should be responsib …
I 'got my body back' after having a baby, and it was awful
Thu Mar 13, 2014
I never liked to comment on a woman’s weight for 3 reasons: 1. A woman should not be judged on her looks 2. It could be a health issue that they have to deal with every day and do not need to be reminded every time they see a friend 3. What if I compliment a woman who loses weight on purpose b …
Amanda Knox: I will become a 'fugitive' if re-convicted for murder
Fri Jan 10, 2014
This is not a 'black vs white' issue. The more I hear about this story, the more I believe she is innocent. Rudy's story changed just as much as her's did and he wasn't interrogated for hours on end right after the incident. He also has not actually came out to say knox was there. He claim …
From online hacks to plastic fakes: The strange life of a stolen credit card
Fri Dec 27, 2013
In reply to: HX1 #9 yes, I think IDing is great. I use to put on the back of my card ID Required. But Toys R Us would not accept it like that. They said they are not allowed to ask for ID on a credit card so I don't shop there. Now, all my cards have the chip and I use a pin. Fortunately, I hav …
Lululemon co-founder steps down in wake of 'women's bodies' remark
Tue Dec 10, 2013
Although.... his clothes are meant for people going to the gym, yoga, etc. He looks like the pervert at the back of the class watching all the ladies doing downward dog. Oh wait.... that is how he got the idea for the line of clothes. I guess you can judge a book by it's cover.
Agender teen whose skirt was set on fire, describes terrifying ordeal
Fri Nov 29, 2013
So glad this teen is ok and I don't like pants either. Ha! But I am a girl so it is more accepted. I am surprised more boys haven't realized the freedom of wearing a nice flowy skirt. But I am more surprised that someone would compare lighting a teen on fire with their neighbour raking leaves.
